Join us for the Workforce Development Symposium!
On Wednesday, Jan. 10 at Hennepin Technical College, we’re highlighting 8 CenterPoint Energy nonprofit grant recipients. They are training the current energy efficiency workforce and building a pipeline of diverse future employees!
Hear from Commissioner Matt Varilek, Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and learn from nonprofit leaders about the impact they're having and how you can support in their work. Discover how we're strengthening Minnesota's workforce and economy to help us move to a cleaner energy future.
Developing this workforce is critical to meet our state’s climate and energy efficiency goals.
In 2021, CenterPoint awarded more than $2 million to 8 nonprofit partners to strengthen programs that are providing training, credentialing and career exploration in the skilled trades, with a focus on energy efficiency and diversity. We are proud to celebrate their work and connect their programs to others who are interested!
