Coronary Artery Disease Prevention Update | Elizabeth Tuohy, MD

  • Identify very-high-risk patients who benefit from achieving LDL levels less than 55 mg/dl
  • Appreciate the cardiovascular risk of elevated Lp(a)
  • Understand published data regarding use of colchicine in stable coronary artery disease

 

CTA and Calcium Scoring Overview | Akbar Khan, MD

  • Utility of non-contrast cardiac CT/calcium scoring in risk stratification of asymptomatic patients.
  • Utility of contrast CTA in evaluation of chest pain.
  • Review clinical trial data regarding the accuracy of CTA and why it is superior to stress testing.
