SUMMARY:InterCity Leadership Visit 2023: Philadelphia
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now closed for this event. Please email Megan Krohn directly at mkrohn@mplschamber.com if you are interested in attending.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented by:\n \n\n\n\n \n\nOur community is stronger when we learn from one another and our peers across the country. Join the Minneapolis Regional and Saint Paul Area Chambers for the 2023 InterCity Leadership Visit\, October 1-3\, in Philadelphia!\n\n\n\nOver the past 20 years\, the Minneapolis Regional Chamber and Saint Paul Area Chamber have brought so many MSP business\, civic\, and nonprofit leaders each year to innovative cities across the United States\, returning with ideas that have helped shape our region. The Itasca Project\, MN Compass\, and GREATER MSP are all initiatives that resulted from ICLV discussions. Just as importantly\, we return from ICLV trips with new and strengthened cross-sector relationships here at home - building networks and finding opportunities to collaborate. There is no better place to meet with nearly 100 of the region's top leaders in one place than ICLV.\n\n\n\nWhy Philly? \n\nPhiladelphia\, founded in 1682\, is one of the oldest and largest cities in the United States and offers a unique perspective on economic growth. It is home to the headquarters of Comcast and other vibrant Fortune 500 companies. Some of its largest private employers also include Accenture\, Wells Fargo\, EY and other companies with links to the Twin Cities. More than 4 million people live in the five-county region\, with more than 1.5 million in Philadelphia\, making it the second-largest city on the East Coast and the sixth-largest city in the country. Key industries in the Philadelphia region include life sciences\, financial services\, technology\, and advanced manufacturing.\n\n\n\nCurrent issues Philadelphia Regional Leaders are looking to include:\n\n\n	Building a diverse and flourishing tech hub\n	Public safety and gun violence reduction\n	The Philadelphia recovery plan and pledge\n	Investments in youth\n	Hospitality and livability including outdoor permanent dining space\n	New economic development spaces\n	Med/tech workforce development\n\nRead more about key industries and issues in Philadelphia on the Select Greater Philadelphia website\, chamberphl.com operated by their Chamber of Commerce.\n\n \nTRIP DETAILS\n\nDates:\n\nSunday\, October 1\, through Tuesday\, October 3.\n\n\n\n*NOTE: This year\, to provide greater flexibility\, participants are responsible for booking their own flights and must arrive in Philadelphia by 1:00 p.m. on Sunday\, Oct. 1\, and depart no earlier than 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday\, Oct. 3. This will allow travel time to and from our programming\, which will begin Sunday afternoon around 2:30 p.m and will end Tuesday after lunch\, around 1:30 p.m.\n\nRegistration and Pricing:\n\n$2\,900 per person. Includes: hotel accommodations\, meals\, programming\, hospitality receptions and ground transportation during our programming.
