Diabetes is a worldwide epidemic. In the U.S., about every 1 in 11 adults is living with diabetes, and 1 in 3 U.S. adults has prediabetes, the majority of whom are undiagnosed. Employers have a vested interest in helping employees improve their lifestyle choices to avoid the onset of diabetes. Annually, diabetes leads to 15 million missed work days, 150 million days of poorer work performance, and 107 million days lost to unemployment disability.
