FairVote Minnesota hosts an important conversation and reception to discuss the historic rise of women in office in 2018, and how electoral reforms like Ranked Choice Voting can help advance even more women in elective office. Learn more about why we must continue to strive to meet the demand for both candidate training programs and electoral reforms that make sense for women. Special guest and keynoter Erin Vilardi is the CEO and founder of VoteRunLead, a national organization with deep roots in Minnesota that has trained over 30,000 women to run for office. This year VoteRunLead saw many alumni win office here in Minnesota and across the nation including Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, Senator Patricia Torres Ray, Rochester Mayor Kim Norton, and Hennepin County Commissioners Angela Conley and Irene Fernando to name a few. Proceeds will support VoteRunLead and FairVote Minnesota.
