This didactic and experiential workshop will focus on defining addictions, understanding the purpose of addictions, designing strategies for understanding the addicted and the affected, developing intervention strategies for the addicted and the affected, and exploring treatment options for the addicted and the affected. These five focal points will be based on the theory and practice of Adlerian psychology and will be presented in an atmosphere characterized by empathy, encouragement, equality, and education. Wes is a diplomat of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology, has various publications, and previously worked as a faculty member and school counseling program director at Adler Graduate School. Currently, Wes works as a counselor in private practice. Adler Graduate School has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6915. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Adler Graduate School is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
